In this research for Ofgem, we conducted a series tele-depths with microbusinesses across Britain to explore how they search for and choose energy deals. The overall aim was to support Ofgem’s evaluation of the CMA’s Price Transparency Remedy by determining how well it has supported these non-domestic consumers to compare the market and make informed decisions. Most of the respondents had recently engaged with the market and we used specific techniques within the research to aid their recall of the process they had undertaken.
